The ACCESS Card is the UCSB Student ID/Campus One Card. It is used as proof of registration and to gain entrance into numerous student services. These include on-campus dining commons, Davidson Library, the computer lab, building and lab door access, and the Recreation Center. It also allows free entry to athletic events and free rides on the local bus system. Students may opt to make a deposit to their card and use it as a debit card where purchases are automatically deducted from the balance in their account. ACCESS is accepted at the UCSB Bookstore, campus dining and food outlets, the UCen Post Office, A.S. Notetaking/Cashier’s, Student Health and Parking Services as well as select off-campus businesses. The ACCESS Card has a one-time processing fee of $25 and has a $10 replacement fee if damaged. Students may, in some cases, opt for a free black and white UCSB Student ID Card that has limited uses. There is a $5 replacement fee if it is damaged for any reason. Both cards have a $25 replacement fee if lost.
ACCESS card and Local Bus Transit
UCSB students may ride any local Santa Barbara MTD bus with an ACCESS card with a current UCSB registration sticker attached. Registration stickers are available from either the Office of the Registrar or the A.S. Ticket Office at the UCen.
