To receive priority consideration for funding from UCSB and the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC—the agency that administers the Cal Grant programs), all financial aid applicants must file the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application between October 1, 2016 and March 2, 2017. Students may still file the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application after the March 2nd priority filing deadline, but they will only be considered for the federal Pell Grant (undergraduates only) and Direct Loan programs.

If you are selected for verification, be sure to pay attention to submission deadlines and do not delay the process of submitting any and all requested documents. If you are having difficulty collecting your documents, contact our office at (805) 893-2432 prior to the submission deadline.

You should also check My Aid Status regularly to make sure your financial aid file is up-to-date. Missing key deadlines will result in a loss of financial aid eligibility for UCSB Grants, Work-Study, and Perkins Loans for the academic year.
