The Graduate Student Association (GSA) represents all UCSB graduate students. GSA is governed by an elected eight member executive committee which meets biweekly, and an elected general council of graduate student departmental representatives whose monthly meetings are open to all members. GSA executive committee members sit on and appoint students to various university committees. GSA also distributes weekly emails and schedules a variety of activities for graduate students. The GSA Lounge (UCen 2502) is open 10am to 5pm Monday through Thursday, and 10am to 2pm on Friday, though graduate students can access the space 24/7. The lounge is also available to student groups who would like a place to meet.
