Note: The following General Education guidelines apply to all students in the College of Letters and Science and the College of Engineering. Students in the College of Creative Studies can learn more about their General Education requirements in the "Colleges and Departments" section under "College of Creative Studies," or by contacting the college.
- Courses in the student’s major can also be used to fulfill General Education requirements.
- Courses taken to satisfy the General Education requirements may also be applied simultaneously to the American History and Institutions requirement.
- A course listed in more than one general subject area (A through G) can ONLY be applied to one of those areas (not both). For example; Art History 6A can satisfy either one Area E or one Area F, general subject area requirement, but not both.
