Each instructor has the authority to determine whether a student is sufficiently prepared to enter upon or to continue in the study of that instructor’s subject. However, an instructor may not exclude a student from a course on political grounds, or for reasons of race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, ethnic origin, disability, or for other arbitrary or personal reasons. A student who believes that such criteria were used may challenge the instructor’s decision by means of the grievance procedures set forth in "Student Conduct and Responsibility" section of this catalog under "Student Grievance Procedure."
