Official Transcripts
Official transcripts display the entire academic history of a student at UC Santa Barbara. They can be produced as either a certified PDF or printed on security paper. Current prices and ordering information can be found at the Office of the Registrar’s website: registrar.sa.ucsb.edu/Student-Records/transcripts.
Verification of Student Status
Official verifications are printed on security paper with specific statements verifying a student enrollment and degree information.
Students may order official verifications, for a fee, by accessing GOLD. Fees can be paid by credit card. Unofficial verifications may also be printed at no charge through GOLD.
Enrollment and degree information of most students is now also available on the Office of the Registrar’s website at no charge. This service is available for students whose records are computerized. This includes all students enrolled from 1990 on and many students from previous decades whose records have been converted. The website is my.sa.ucsb.edu/public/verification/search.aspx and is designed to be used by employers and businesses who just need to verify information without obtaining an official document. Attendance dates and status at UCSB, as well as major, address information, and degree award dates can be verified. Enrollment and degree verifications may also be ordered for current and non-current students, using the National Student Clearinghouse (https://studentclearinghouse.org/). Pricing for these services is available on their website.
Verifications of enrollment for a given academic term cannot be released until the student has registered and is in paid status for that term.
